Someone is out to get her. This fact resulted in a recent court case, of which Delilah was acquitted--but the fact of the case was enough to heat the waters, as it were. Delilah and Chay rest beneath an awning, at a late-open restaurant. Rain pours down, obscuring most vision, but lending a splash-echo to any movement.

The two rest there, sharing stories, and occasionally glancing towards the Watch House.

The restaurant is one of the few places open this late. Its covered tables offer some protection against the rain--and the warm cider being passed out can be smelled past the rain-city mixture.

Delilah is sitting with Chay, giving occasional... okay, frequent glances towards the guard station. There may, or may not, be a bad person in there; there almost certainly are a number of said bad person's cronies in there, and we are not referring to the prisoners. Still, the sorceress manages to play it cool right at the moment, sipping some fancy, overly priced alcoholic drink (served in a wide glass on a stem, with a little wooden stick impaled through a couple of cherries, with a little umbrella on top). 
 
Currently, the sorceress is keeping quiet, listening to the rain, as she glances at watch house. Again.

Skribbles walks into the restaurant, moving the hood off of her head as she walks over to the cook and says, "Ya got food?" The cook, obviously not pleased a Gobbo is in his restaurant, scowls at the woman and says, "Not your kind of food." Skribbles slaps coins onto the counter and says, "Ya nugget-loving skip-lover, just give me some stew." She walks over to a table and sits down, taking off her cloak and hanging it on another chair.

"...when did this sstart, sser?" the sith-makar wishes to know. He wears a long and leather duster; a gift from a kin long ago. It's scarred and worn, but--treasured. Well-worn, would describe it. He has a glass in front of him.

Water.

"One admits, sser--this sseems to have developed in hiss mind for ssome time, sser. With apologies." 

The conversation continues, though--folks might recognize Delilah from the trial. Might wonder what is going on. And the rain pours down, of course. In the meantime, the hot smell of cider can be had, near the small outdoor cafe. When the cook speaks up, Chay looks up, his expression bland, though flickering. A look towards the chef, and back to the gobber.

Skribbles waits for a moment and then the stew shows up, along with a hunk of bread and some bites of cheese. The cook slaps it down with a grumble and heads back to his spot, muttering something about gobbers staying in Gobbertown. Skribbles ignores it and takes a few bites, wondering if that's spit or something else. Probably spit...whatever. She looks around the room a moment, and her eyes level on Chay and Delilah, giving them a wide grin to show off sharp teeth.

"Oh, I know exactly when it started." Delilah shrugs her shoulders lightly, watching for a moment as the goblin woman makes a fuss about food -- a justified one, given the chef's reaction, which earns a raised eyebrow from the golden haired sorceress. "It started," she continues, "When he came to a table in one of the Inns one night, where I was playing cards. He was off duty, I had no idea he was a guard... anyway, I cleaned him out." she coughs softly. "I mean, *really* cleaned him out. I may have rubbed it in, by suggesting if he'd looked at his cards the way he stared at my breasts, he might've done better." She pauses, and ahems softly. "I think it made him upset."

Chay looks at the teeth and then away. A move that looks past the creature displaying their chompers, and does not engage, threaten, or notice. Am'sheri manners in some senses, draconic manners that keep the peace when a member of the castes is upset.

He looks to his drink, and then back, upwards to Delilah, and... "One can imagine. From one'ss essperiences...does he sseem a rich man, thiss Watchman?" he asks. "Do you mind if thiss one takess notes? With apologiess. This sseems important."

Around, various patrons move. Not many patrons. One man gets up and then waves to a friend. He's slightly tipsy, slightly weavy.

Skribbles continues chomping away on her stew, eating a piece of bread in between every few bites. She seems quite content for the moment, watching a few of the patrons stumble by and not giving them too much mind. She can't seem to remember Delilah too clearly, but the face is familiar even if she can't place it. A barmaid walks by and puts a mug of ale in front of Skribbles, an apologizing smile on her face.

Delilah watches the barmaid, maybe eyeing her up a bit... too much, but only just a little bit. She glances at the mug plonked down in front of the goblin, and flashes a grin at her, before returning to her more seroius look and giving her attention to Chay once more. "Oh, I don't mind, please do take notes if that helps," she replies. "I mean he's a guard, and he's a knight captain, so he's ranked pretty high. I don't know if he's rich, really, but it certainly didn't hurt him much to lose what he lost to me." She shrugs lightly, "I think it's just a grudge over losing to a girl, and getting it rubbed in."

From afar, Chay rar's! It is good to have concern. But, rar. I will throw a lil' tidbit out, too. ^^;
The weaving man waves to his friend a third time and then turns and heads towards the street. On his way, he bumps into a few tables--ends up falling belly-first over the table near Skribbles. Blop! goes the man, and the table rattles. Near-collapses.

Chay looks over and then down at his own table. "Forgive this one," he says, closing his eyes for a moment. A bare moment, before they flick open, again. "So one ssuggests pride, sser?" The sith-makar has a quiet look to him. Don't notice me, that suggests. He reaches down into his sack as he thinks, and takes out a piece of pa--

...just in time for a mug to hit the ground from the weaving man's collision, and splash liquid that way.

Chay jerks the papers out of the way, but the damage is done.

Kaydin has arrived.

Kaydin enters the gates and looks around. He been busy most of the day escorting people through the forest. Seemed a couple of travelers paid for safe passage and he gave it. He was counting his pay when he pockets it and looks around at all the people."

Skribbles has just taken mug in hand and smacked her lips, ready for the taste of beer. As she's about to drink, the weaving man crashes into her table, causing the beer to spill. She narrows her eyes a bit, mug still halfway to her mouth as her stew and bread have been spilled and filled with beer. She slowly turns her head and says, "You spilled...mah stew..."

Rain pours down, late that evening. There are a few small, outdoor cafes open. One of them has a number of covered tables, and the smell of hot cider and foods. Chay sits at one of the tables, talking with Delilah. A gobber sits at another, an apologetic waiter having just left. ...and narrowly avoided a drunken patron, who'd collided into the table next to Skribbles.

Kaydin makes his way to the small outdoor cafe with chay and delilah and smiles. "Good to see you both friends!" He says as he ducks in to their table. "Mind if I join you?" He asks curiously as he watches them. the gobber sitting at another table is given a look and he looks back at the two. "I think fur is about to fly."

Delilah bobs her head, "Yeah, pride," she replies, "And a rather unhealthy dose of sexism, too, I think. He--" Delilah might've been about to say more, but then there's airborn ale and stuff. She throws her hands up to try and protect Chay's papers (skin and clothes can be cleaned, afterall) but is much too slow. "...Oi," she calls out, to the drunkard. "Y'mind maybe being drunk, I don't know, somewhere else? This is a restaurant, not an inn. Go to the docks if you want to drink like that."

"Heh, yah. Sorry-Sorry about that..." the man mumbles. He waves his hands in a numb fashion of a drunk's general and friendly apology. He smells of ale, this man, and his beard's--well, there's a bit of--you know what? He was 'probably saving that for later' sticking out of it. 

Chay has hold of the papers--the minute Delilah reaches though, he lets go of them. Yanks his hand back, his eyes wide and his breath coming fast. Then, as Kaydin approaches--he looks quickly to the man, eyes as wide as saucers. 

"...peasse to your nesst," he rasps. Lowers a shaking hand to the table. Doesn't even look at the now-sodden papers. "Ssers."

Skribbles doesn't look up, but merely sets her ale down and then, with the same hand, points at her spilled stew. "Oi...ya spilled my stew. Oi was enjoying my spit stew." She points again, "Stew...spilled...you.."

"Sorry, sorry!" the drunken man burbles and bumps into something else. He's quick enough headed to the street, though, and into the rain.

Heavy rain that sleuces down. Pours down, cold in the evening. It quickly cuts off the scent of him, the sound of his stammered apologies. 

The lights at the Watchhouse flicker off, then back on again.

"You were a little harsh with the man werent you?" Kaydin asks as he watches the drunk leave. He then reaches into a pocket for a pip and puts some sort of green stuff in the bowl and borrows a candle to light his pipe with. He then takes an inhale and offers it to Chay and Delilah. "Would you like some? My mom grows it. Helps clear the mind." He says with a smile.

Delilah shakes her head quickly to Kaydin. "Thank you, but no," she replies. "Last time I was in jail I tried a cigarette another prisoner gave me, and it was awful, I thought my lungs were going to catch fire. I think that was my one and only brush with smoking." She leans back in her seat, and has a sip from her drink. "At least the drunk is leaving." She glances over towards Skribbles, "Did he get you, too? Stew still servicable, I hope?" 
 
The sorceress hasn't noticed the flickering of lights from the watch house. HOpefully that's nothing ominous.
Skribbles still has narrowed eyes and gives one more, forceful, point at her spilled stew. She then stands up and walks over to the cook, "More stew...that big toed sloth-baby knocked over my stew." The cook grumbles and shakes his head, "You paid for one, you get one. Not my fault." Skribbles grumbles slightly and plops more money on the counter before heading back to her seat.

"Thank you sser, but one already has a drink, sser," the sith-makar says. He looks to the pipe a moment, and then to Kaydin. The man's arm, and then back to the face. "Peasse to your nesst, sser."

The sith-makar looks to Delilah, then. "One's apologies, sser--one sshould return to work, sser. Thank you for the drink."

"Certain herbs when mixed and soaked the right away are more tolerable to smoke." Kaydin says as he watches the two. When the sith makar begins to leave, he stands. "Do you need someone to go with you, Sir?" He asks as he watches the gobber next. "Excuse me." He says as he begins to walk over to the gobber and sets money down on her seat to pay for her stew. He then returns to Delilah. "So what job do you specialize in, Delilah? I am a nature guide myself. I help people get through the woods. I also sell goods my mother gains from nature to the city, like milk, honey, herbs and fruit." He says as he watches her. "We never go hungry in the forest."

Skribbles blinks as she looks at the money that is plopped onto the table, looking at Kaydin with a tilt of her head. "Whazzat for?" She then watches him go back and tilts her head the other way, the piercings on her ears jingling a little bit as they strike one another in the tilts.

"Just paying for your meal friend! Doing my good deed for the day." Kaydin says to the gobber. He then turns his attention back to Delilah and smiles. "Thats a very nice pistol you got there...I dont like them myself. They are noisy, and take too long to reload." He says as he watches the woman.

Delilah watches as Kaydin goes to plunk money down in front of Skribbles, and perks an eyebrow upwards for a brief moment. "Well, Chay had to excuse himself," she observes, before beckoning to Skribbles. "Why don't you come join us?" she suggests, "No need to sit there alone, waiting for the next drunk to come upset your stew." She pulls the little wooden spike out of her drink, and eats one of the cherries straight off it. "I'm an adventurer," she explains, finally answering Kaydin. "Sorceress, specifically. The gun is for when I don't want to use a spell on something -- or in case I can't."

"No kidding, a student of the arcane?" Kaydin says as he smiles at the woman. He nods at her. "But dont you need special training to use a firearm?" Kaydin asks curiously as he looks to Skribbles and smiles more, gesturing for the gobber to join them. "I have the training of a ranger. I was being trained by someone but I cant remember their name right now. I know them by sight." He says as he watches the women. "I act as a nature guide and help travelers through the forest like I said." He says happily.

Skribbles looks at the money again and then swipes it up, walking over and putting it on the table where Delilah and Kaydin are sitting, hopping up into a nearby seat. "Dun worry abou it, but it is appreciated." She looks at the two and says, "Whatcha talkin' about? And why are you so interested in the guard tower over there?" She looks up as the cook slaps a bowl of stew in front of Skribbles with a low grumble, followed by the bread and cheese. As he walks off he looks at barmaid and says, "No more free drinks for that one. Been here long enough already."

"Not so much a student, as a natural," Delilah explains. "Wizards are the students. Bunch of snooty bastards, too; they consider us sorcerers to be a bunch of lazy bums, as if we somehow decided up front to be born with magical blood." She shrugs, and eats the second of three cherries off her little stick, before dropping the last one back in the booze. "And, the gun? Training? Sure... or just a lot of practice." She pauses, and considers Skribbles question for a long moment. "There's, uhm, this guard." She shrugs her shoulders lightly. "He's a Knight Captain, and he has it out for me. Keeps locking me up every chance he gets... ask Kaydin, he was in the observer's section last time I went in front of a magistrate."

"Yeah. This guard has a real love for her." Kaydin says as he gestures to Delilah. He then shrugs. "My mom's a Druid. I know someday I can learn magic, would love to fire enchanted arrows." He says as he watches the women. "But I have a gift with animals. May decide to become one someday." He says with a grin before looking around. "I need to buy me a set of daggers to use in melee combat when people run up to me." He says as he shrugs. "Anyway, my name is kaydin. Did you get the fruit basket I sent to you and your sister for winning the thing?" He asks curiously.

Skribbles ah's and nods her head knowingly. "Stalkers. I get those all the time too." She takes a bite of her stew and says, "Mm...different spit this time." She takes another bite and asks, "Why don't you just kill 'em? I mean, plenty of places to...oooo! I can blow him up for you." The barmaid comes over and places another goblet of beer in front of Skribbles with a wink.

"Blowing him up... probably isn't a good idea," Delilah replies rather dryly. "If nothing else, his friends would blame me, and I might have trouble convincing a magistrate I didn't do it. Especially if I was in on it." She shakes her head, "No, I'd rather deal with him through legal means, but thank you." She pauses, and bobs her head to Kaydin. "We did, thank you! And we loved it. It was delicious." The sorceress smiles, "I'm Delilah, but you probably knew that already. But," she nods to Skribbles, "I don't believe we've met?"

"Maybe not kill him, but give him something to scare him off you?" Kaydin says as he shrugs. He then looks to Skribbles and smirks. "I see you have alot of friends. I dont have many, but I try and be friendly to everyone I meet." He says as he smokes from his pipe and exhales a plume of smoke away from the others. "So any interesting jobs?" He asks the two of them.

Skribbles holds out a four-fingered hand to Delilah and says, "I'm Skribbles, Forge of Reos, and obviously I am beloved in this restaurant." She smiles widely to the barmaid and takes a long swig of beer with a satisfied ahhh. "Alright, so we can't blow him up but definitely poison his drink or something. I mean...not kill him...but...you know." She grins widely and looks between the both of them like she just came up with a brilliant solution.

The sorceress shakes the offered hand. "Delilah Valethor, sorceress of nowhere in particular," she replies. "Pleasure to meet you, and I'd rather not get blamed for *anything* by a high ranked guard who wants to me to rot in jail, or hang. I really appreciate the offer, but uhm, I'd rather just... not... cross him right now." She leans over to the side a little bit, trying to surreptitiously avoid the smoke -- and succeeding, since Kaydin was nice enough to blow it the other way. "He's not going to scare off," she affirms. "You seem to have that Barmaid's eye," she adds, back to Skribbles. "She's cute, too."

Kaydin shrugs. "I should probably head back to forest. I came to see if any places had a good meal availible for purchase. If you need anything from the forest, Delilah, just seek me out." He says as he begins to gather his things. "It was nice to meet you Skribbles! May your gods protect you and smite your enemies." He says as he bows to Delilah. "If you are free sometime I can try and cook something for you. That is if you arent seeing anyone."

Skribbles looks at Delilah and then at the barmaid and laughs a bit, "She's just being nice. Humans don't tend to want to bounce with a Gobbo." She grins and then looks at Kaydin, nodding her head, "And may yours..uhm..make it easy to go through the woods." Yep...nailed it. She then looks between Kaydin and Delilah...wondering if there is gonna be a hookup or not.

If there's any chance of a hookup, Delilah's not showing it. She does finish her drink though, and shrugs. "I guess it depends on the human and the gobbo," she replies, "I've heard of far stranger relationships. ...Like... dragon and human... I mean really, how does that even work?" She tosses a couple coins onto the table, for the barmaid presumably, and stands up as well. "If my sis or I need any help, Kaydin, I'll sure sure to ask," she assures. "Pleasure meeting you both."

Kaydin nods to the woman. "Pleasure. As I said if any of you need anything in the forest I am your guy." Kaydin says as he smiles to skribbles. "I doubt I there is anything you could want, but hey." He says with a shrug as he exhales smoke away from them and begins to walk off.
Kaydin has disconnected.

Skribbles gives a wave to both as she's left at the table...all by herself...lonesome little Gobber who doesn't take anything seriously..not even Delilah's poor situation. She takes another bite of stew and sips her beer as the barmaid sits down to join her, smiling a bit as they start to talk quietly.
