A long building composed of weathered stone, dual marks of Tarien and Gilead oversee its entrance and welcome the weary traveler. Inside is often cool during summer times, though cold at winter, and accomodations are sparse, though comfortable enough for a brief stay. An iron stove serves to heat a portion of it.
Outside the Waystation is a great firepit, with long, log benches. Between each bench are stone markers bearing symbolic carvings of the Hunter's Lord and Coyote, meaning the area serves as an impromptu shrine of sorts for travelers.
A pair of Wardens are often present for the protection of travelers and patrol of the road. Their uniforms are dualy marked with the Bow and Arrow of the Hunter's Lord, and the Rising Phoenix of Alexandria.
The waning twilight of day is quickly dying out as the sun sets beyond the dense trees to the west. It is cold, but what makes it bite to the bone is the furious wind. Those who find themselves upon the road at this time of the evening are heading toward whatever shelter is at hand. This waystation is one of the nicer sorts of shelter, suitable for those who prefer a cabin over a tent. A wild elf is tending a large bonfire outdoors, over which a pair of large dire boars are roasting, filling the air with the intoxicating aroma of pork, or perhaps a sickening stench if you're a vegetarian.
While not a vegetarian, Fiore walks her way up the path and actually makes her way towards the fire....at the smell of pork. "Seems you've had a good hunt." She says flexing her fingers a bit.
The elf tending the fire smiles at the large woman. Says, "All are welcome to partake. I contribute it in honor to Gilead as his blessing rests upon this place and those who seek shelter herein." pause "And, yes, the hunting has been good." *smile*
soo, now Tirr finds her self wandering into waystation area, the tall Sith'Makar looking around curiously, jaws partially gaped as she stares at the place and studies it. She then takes a deep breath and exhails, sending out steam as well as the occasional electric spark it seems... She licks her lips and sighs... "Soo gotta get control of that..." she mutters.
Fiore looks over towards the waystation and the tall sith-makar. "What was that greeting again?" She says as she looks to the elf. "Peace on your nest?" She says as she bows to the sith-makar...then to the elf. "Neat...isn't it?"
Ga'Elian smiles and bows his head. To Fiore he says, "Yes." Then adds to Tirrynelth, "Peace to your nest, or, well, to your library at any rate. Please warm yourself by the fire and share meat with us. I was about to tell the tale of a legendary hunt from the elder days. I would sing it, but the Myndandraal wouldn't be effective to tell the tale to all present." Then, to Fiore again, "I am Ga'Elian, a greenwalker and hunter, servant of Eluna, and Touched of Gilead."
"Wondered, ya'll got nests then? Like birds? Ain't even seen no nest dat size." Selia inquires, slicing off a tidbit of roasting meat to nibble before perching on a log/seat. Bit of a wonder as to just when the sneaky little lutch appeared.
Tirr tilts her head at the greeting, and glances to Selia now and smirks a bit... "We're anthropomorphic draconids... Yes some do actually make nests and all, though that really refers to our home.." She says, her voice is prim, propper, learned, not so much like a normal Sith'Makar. "But yah, Nests refer mostly to our home and the fact we do lay clutches of eggs and the like." she adds.
Fiore says, "Huh. you're taller than most others I've seen." She still pokes Tirr on the top of the head. "Not as tall as me, but then....Giantborn." She then shrugs. "I know only a little about the Sith'makar, but they can be honorable when you let them.""
Selia blinks wide dark eyes. "'Anthro...poor...morphin...'... dat means ya walk on yer legs, ya?" The little lutch's accent practically drips from her words, strongly influenced by Low Charnish, with a smattering of Undercommon, and a hint of something exotic or perhaps just uncommon. Her fingers tend to flutter as she talks, not quite Handspeech, but offering non-verbal emphasis and context. "I's Selia, called ShadowKin. Dat's Issa." she gestures vaugely to the darkness beyond the fire's glow.
Ga'Elian laughs, the smile filling his whole expression. He says, "And would you partake, too?" he asks, looking at Selia.
Fiore bows since Selia introduced herself. "Fiore, Acolyte of the order of Righteous battle." She says popping her neck.. "Shadowkin?" She says looking to where Selia indicated and tilts her head. "Ah....I think I see..."
Tirr blinks and looks at the shadow area curiously and then glances back to Selia "Means we're humanoids who have very strong draconic heritage... In my case stronger than the norm as I have draconic ancestors that are just outside the number of generations to make me a half dragon... Hence I'm very tall, have no wings and allready breath lightning." she says with a slight, well what one might call, smile. Tirr then accepts the offer of protein sustinance and offers a slight nod. "I do not have a bunch to add to things, but I do have this..." She pulls out a large wax paper bag full of home made marsh mallows....
Selia blinks innocently at Ga'Elian. So innocent. Puppies. Fluffy clouds. "I didn't take nuthin." So innocent.
Ga'Elian serves the meat out, all the while singing to himself a little too quietly for his words to carry clearly beyond his immediate presence. The tune is merry, though.
Ga'Elian has left.
Fiore says, "Can breathe lightning, can you?" She says with a smile. "That's good to have when you're in a battle.....""
Tirr peers at Fiore curiously and then shrugs, smirking as she does "I guess so, also means I sneeze and any mamal nearby has their hair standing on end like a fuzzy party favor." she says and grins just a little bit, yah she's trying to be a little funny...
Selia frowns mildly. "Ain't rilly breathin though, ain't it? I mean, der ain't no lightnin 'ere, ya'd suffocate. Spit lightnin. Still 'pressive."
Fiore says, "That would be like if my hands were always covered in flame. there should be ways to keep your lightning from coming out when you breath...even when you sneeze." She then looks towards where the sun is. "I'd better get back to the monastery. Keep what I said in mind." She says starting to jog back to the city."
Tirr tilts her head "Exhail lightning? Folks call it a breath weapon and stuff, sooo... why not say breath lightning then?" She asks curiously. Then shrugs "Easier to say breath than exhail anyhoo..." she adds and then grins just a bit and shrugs at Fiore... "Natural thingie and all, It just started to show its self in me, so I've not completely gotten control of it yet."
Selia nods, and shrugs. "I na wot ya mean, but still ain't usein da words right." She's one to talk. "New stuff can git wonky, but reckon ya got an idea 'bout it all. Sum magic stuff jus shows up wit no rhyme nor reason."
Tirr shrugs "Well less 'magic' more inheritance or genetics?" She says and smirks a bit before shrugging "It's all good though I guess..." She adds and then grins "Also Magic in some cases, least right now, is easier to use."
Selia nods. "Right. Ya na where yer stuff from. Or least got a good guess. Sum stuff just shows up, ain't no clue to why."
Tirr nods "Well there is that, suddenly turning into a jelly type might not make me at all happy." she says, tapping a clawed finger to the underside of her muzzle, aka chin and all... "Soo where is it you're from?
Selia shrugs, and waves vaugely. "Grew up in Abyss'a (capital city of Charn). Ma n' Da moved from da Vast, but ain't sure where dey was born. Never knew me grans. When da whole vit wit da war in Sendor went down, jumped meself a supply ship, den snuck 'cross da border. Nasty stuff, but worked out alright. You?"
Tirr ummms... "Am'shere is where I was hatched and all.." She says and tilts her head, studying Selia... "Village was wel, raided by folks sponsored by Charn, and wiped out, My uncle rescued me and took me to live with the Elves." She says and rubs at the back of her neck now at this point. "Uncle many times removed and all as he is a bronze dragon..."
Selia considers a moment and shrugs. "Uncle dat Merchant wot was running 'round da museum couple weeks back?"
Tirr shakes her head "Uncle's name is Victorax..." She says and shrugs again. "Don't think there's a relation there." she then grins a bit "Though wouldn't put it past my uncle to pick a fight with a void dragon..."
Selia nods again, and considers. "Pickin a fight wit a dragon usually a bad idea, but reckon if ya a dragon yerself, might be okay. Dem elves ya live wit, up in Llyranost?"
"A library convent of elvish magi near Am'shere... " She says and shrugs "More of a very small village rather than a large city." She adds and offers a smile... "Anyhow, I lived with my uncle there and the elves, mostly the elves though... Uncle is, umm pardon the pun, flighty..."
Selia shrugs, nods. "Ain't known a dragon ta keep still fer long. Ain't known many t'all, be 'onest."
Tirr nods "I only know the one, but, to be honest, like us they're all individuals, though scale color can give you an idea of their personality, as they're as much an elemental being as they are physical and whatnot... Generally Chromatics are well, self centered and such, some are just engines of destruction, preferring to feed that particular want... Metallics can be as nobil as the chromatics are self centered... Coppers are talkative and friendly, Bronzes, like to pick up causes and the like..."
Selia nods again. "Bronze and brass I met. Seen sum silver 'round but weren't da type ta chat. Den black 'n red. Nasty blokes. Ta be fair, met 'em cause dey was nasty. Might be nice ones ain't never 'ad reason ta track 'n meet."
Tirr umms and shrugs "Pretty much never a not nasty black or red... As I said, they like destruction, revel in it... There's also the possibility with Silvers, you may have met one and not even known it.. They can shapeshift, as with most Metallics and all... I don't know that even a true sight spell would let you see it as it's an actual shapeshifting going on.." She says and smiles slightly, then she glances up and sighs "Amma thinking I'm going to go inside the wayfarere here and roll up in my cloaks and such for a good night's sleep.... You get some rest ok?" She says and adds "have a good night."
Selia waves, and turns her focus to nibbeling a bit of meat. If you happen to glance back a few moments latter, the tiny lutch has disappeared. Sneaky.
Tirrynelth has disconnected.
