Pipeline Problems (Part 2)

The moment it is free the monstrous thing with it's silenced mouths moves forward and seems to just... drop itself on top of Munch. The sound of acid burning as it swallows the construct up is an unpleasant sound.

Munch takes a moment, a swirl of rainbow sparkles starting at his feet and swirling up around his body to lend arcane speed. With a roar, the golem's body swells as dangerous chemicals are injected directly into the barbarians muscles, and his face splits open, with row upon row of gleaming fangs inside. Ripping into the monstrous mass, Munch tears off a chunk, straining against the gooy bonds that hold him, but yet more stands wrap themselves around, keeping him in place.

Astaren sighs as he holds a hand to his head, "Starting to understand this thing..." he offers slowly and glances to Kira as she pulls Munch out and nods, "Well beating it down might work, if we don't use magic. We can at least try to distract it." he offers and holds up his hand as he traces five circles, and launches five magic missiles past the creature. Each missile hitting further back each time.
The ooze wobbles, seems to consider trying to eat Munch again, then wobbles after the magic missiles which barely miss its mass. It chases after them ponderously.

Don't turn your back on Munch. Even if you're a giant ooze thing that doesn't actually have a back. With another roar, the metal man launches himself at the ooze, his weapon smashing and fangs flashing. It's not a pretty sight. Which shouldn't surprise much of anyone, given the current situation.
Munch says, "I'm fine with getting it out of here, but can we kill it first? Think that would make it easier."

Kira blinks as Munch dives right back in after she just pulled him out. "Wait! You're wounded.." Her lips purse as she runs after him an instills some of the Healer's Grace on him. "And it doesn't need to be dead to move it, does it?"
GAME: Astaren casts Magic Missile. Caster Level: 14 DC: 18
Astaren lobes out another set of magic missiles, "Well I can distract him for a short bit more. If it doesn't stop moving by then, well we get out of here ok?" he offers glancing to the others.
The ooze thing continues to wobble after the magic missles, getting closer to the place where Astaren is putting them at the moment. It reaches the spot just after the last one goes out and sadly slurps against the wall.

Munch buzzes his appreciation at the healing, but doesn't slow his attack, ripping and tearing into the gooey mess. Hard to tell if it's having much of an effect, but he seems to be enjoying himself.... and then the ooze goes still and sorta watery.... okay, so maybe you can tell it's having an effect.
Suddenly it collapses into a puddle of still black sparkling water on the ground.
Kira just stares as it collapses, and at what's left. "Is that.. Normal?"
Astaren moves over and pulls an empty vial out of his bag along with a spoon. He carefully collects some samples and puts them away, "Going to open up the wall over there Munch, we need to destroy the other one as well. Ready?"
Munch hisses quietly, a bit of steaming escaping his overtaxed muscles. "Give me a moment, I'll be back up in a sec. Had forgotten was a second half. Everything just sorta flies away when you're having fun, ya know?"
Kira says, "if it can't hurt anyone, do we have to kill it? How long can you keep it trapped?" Kira asks the last to Astaren. "Are there any unused tunnels? Maybe we could give it a home where people can't reach it?"
Astaren shrugs, "We can trap it for a bit." Glancing to the wall, putting down a second wall of iron, and then a stone wall around that. Dusting off his hands, "Shall we go then? We can figure out a longer term solution later, once I figure out what it is."
Munch says, "...pretty sure it's a monster, with a capital M. I don't think it can be kept safe.... buuuut... they used to say that about me. So sure, I guess it's contained, for now."
Kira's smile blooms anew. "Thank you. I know it looks very strange, but it isn't evil, or out to hurt anyone. I think it's like a stray dog."
