Rather than shoot its bow again, it decides to do something different. It begins mashing its feet on the ground, sending shockwaves through the eart -- powerful ones that build in intensity until the ground is rollign with the feel of a powerful earthquake.

Fissures open up in the earth and the ranks of the clerics and celestials guarding the shard are thinend by several of them either falling in or falling prone.

This also effects the hounds and the VOice, with the sailor unable to keep his footing and hitting the earth temporarily.

Stirling takes the air when the earth begins to shake, rapidly vibrating lightning wings carry him aloft above the blade barrier. As he flies a pair of tubes emerge from his shoulders and throw small red glowing orbs into the sky with a pair of soft pops. Even as he continues to fly, the red orbs fall lazily to the ground amongst the demons at the blade barier and ignite into a pair of earth shattering explosions.

Carefully, thanks to a fissure not opening him, the Voice gets back to his feet. He raises his hand and begins to intone a spell. Disintegrate. He's casting it at th wall of force. One side shatters.

He looks up towrads Astaren. Smiles. And now so many of the defenders are knocked down.

That said, he /still/ has a blade barrier blocking his path to contend with.

The Hounds lunge into the fallen crowd of angels and priests, trying to strike at them. Some of them are grabbed and being shook viciously, but that's only after they pass through the potent blade barrier cast by AStaren. That saved a number of them as the hounds are cut to pieces by them. Not ALL of them, but enough.

That doesn't seem to stop more from springing to existence, though.

Durrankar manages to avoid the fissures, but he DOES notice that Sophia doesn't quite make it and falls in. Tribal unity overrides Durrankar's common sense and the Sith-makar dives into the fissure head first. Sophia doesn't get much time to fall as Durrankar's feet grab onto Sophia's shoulders and he swoops just over the ground and using the momentum to fly OUT of the fissure and into the sky....

The stormbolts conjured by Thyrson strike the Solar, the hounds and the voice.

The coive is scorched hard by it, the poor sailor whose hbody is being used seeming to cook from the inside out -- but he deosn't stop moving. At all.

The solar, too, is badly scorched but seems to welcome it, weather it well. He hisses.

The hounds seem entirely immune to the lightning.

Astaren feet were only hoving inches off the ground, as he glances up to the Solar, almost expecting the quake it seems. Then the around the Dreamer starts to cackle with electrical energy and the air starts to smell like ozone. With a shift of his hand a brillant blaze of lighting shoots from him and hits the voice of Asumit, and the hounse. He blinks a moment as the hounds are not hurt at all, "Going to remember that." then shifts his hands as he holds up his rod and throws a web at the body, specifically the hand holding the void shard. "You stay right there." Then glances over to Duarrankar, "Drop Sophia off by the body! He is an innocent and cannot be allowed to die, Sophia, please please tell me you know Breath of Life?" a almost desperation in his voice.

Sophia lands down gently next to the fallen body of the possessed sailor, not bothering to respond to Astaren as she seems to know what's happening here too. She places her hand on the man's brow, whispering a prayer to Althea. The man breathes, very shakily, as his death has been averted. She glances over at Astaren, and nods, looking relieved that, at least, was immediately prevented.

A great sheet of flame in two seperate locations roars down from the heavens, bathing the advneturers in it. He's focused on them, rather than the priests and other angels, since they seem to be dealing with the hounds for the time being. The Solar stumbles forward, still battling with the corruption and the control over it.

Stirling turns in midflight and heads towards the Solar, while he rather not, the artillary he is bringing to bear is just a bit too much. In his huge sized form he pulls an equally large deathray out and fires at the Solar. Its not much but its something.

The hounds now turn, leaving the priesgts for the moment. They're racing /back/ through thee barrier, numbers rethinned, towrads Sophia and her friend.

UH oh.

Durrankar changes back and see the hounds going for Sophia. "Blast. Use your entangle Tyrannix..." He orders and concentrates....creating a wall of stone around SOphia....giving her enough room to breathe for herself, but giving the hounds NO chance to get to her....even with the vines growing around the walls.

Thyrson heeds Astaren's call, gathering light into his hands. He condenses it into a point and launches it at the hounds. Fire erupts all around them, a sudden star lighting in the heavens (what?), turning hounds into ash and bad intentions.

The angels and the priests are taking a moment to mend eadch other's wounds.

This is a good thing, really, as many of them are in fact badly hurty and chewed up by the hounds.

GAME: Astaren casts Holy Word. Caster Level: 17 DC: 22

Astaren flies over and hovers over the wall of Iron, looking over the battlefield he shakes his head, "Oh at times I am glad that Deus and Eluna are on very good terms." Holding up a crescent moon holy symbol the Dreamer glows blue and then a wave of magical healing energy emits from him. Then he turns towards the priests and celestials, "Stop those hounds, if they get past that wall all is lost!"

Sophia winces at the burning flames, but protects the innocent sailor from getting hit by the fire. When Astaren heals the group, she then follows up with channeling her own holy energy into more healing for allies nearby, trying to bring people back from death's door.

The Solar leaps into the air, flying upwards and looking down upon the wall of stone and over it. Since it's just a wall and not a box, he can see down into it. HE raises his hands, unlerashing a blast of energy that coalescces into swirling blades that ran down on Sophia and raising up towards Astaren and Durrankar as well. A blade barrier as well.

Thyrson casts again, though this time its not flashy at all. He just looks frustrated.

Astaren is drifing to the side when the blade barrier comes up. He blinks at the free hair cut he just got and goes a bit pale, "That... was to close." Glancing up to the Solar, 'Not giving up on you yet." Flying up he reaches out and touches the Solar, attempting a remove curse on the creature. "HE is held under sawy by some kind of artifact. Curse or something."

Astaren flies back a few inches as he stares at the Solar, "You poor thing... but... disable him, we can save him I think. Just not now." closing his eyes as a tear streams down his cheek.

GAME: Sophia rolls 5d6: (17): 17

GAME: Whirlpool damaged you for -17 points. 178 HP remaining.

Sophia keeps her shield raised as she leans against one edge of the stone wall, staying as far back from the whirling blade barrier there as she can. And concentrating to keep the sailor safe, no matter the cost.

GAME: Kravar rolls 32-5: (1)+32+-5: 28 (EPIC FAIL)

Kravar has been stepping on the Solar's now-inert greatsword to keep it from flying to attack him again. After being healed by Sophia he exchanged his bow for shield once more. Then using the magic speed afforded from an earlier blessing he flies above the Solar. He aims a terrific kick down at the celestial being's head but misjudges the distance and stomps on nothing but air.

Moving back while hover9ing, the angel bound by ASumit's magic lets loose a wave of green energy that dims Astaren and Kravar's levels of energy, leaving them both overwhelmed with exhaustion.

Thyrson rises up into the air, casting again. He looks even more frustrated than usual, which takes some skill.
