Anti-Magic Shell
Erendriel is walking down the market road, stuffing something into her haversack and getting it closed. Apparently she just made a couple of impulse buys.
Azog is doing a bit of shopping for himself, including a heavy overcoat for wearing over armor.
Erendriel is finishing that, when suddenly she sees him. The big guy. "Oh hey," she calls out to Azog, waving and walking on over as quickly as she can, brisky with great pep and enthusiasm.
Azog cinches his swordbelt and is now all set. "Good afternoon," he greets Erendriel. "How are you today?"
Erendriel giggles, as she reaches BACK into her haversack, though of course it's easier to get something out of that thing when you know exactly what you want. "I have something for you! Since it's getting cold and everything, this time of year, I saw this and thought you had to have it." Thet hing she's pulling out of her pack is... a soft black blanket of some sort.
Azog squints down at the half-sil, at what she's carrying? "What?" he asks after a moment. "A ... blanket? Do you think that I am cold?" he wonders.
Erendriel giggles. "I think everyone could stand to be a little warmer. But look, look!" She grins, and unfolds the blanket some, spreading it in front of herslef, and holding it up. In silvery threads are stiched the words "Anti-Magic Shell". "You can wrap yourself in it!"
Azog arches a brow and peers critically at it. "Is it actually anti-magic?" he wonders. But he's got enough trinkets it ought to be pretty apparent if it's actually anti-magic.
Erendriel grins and shakes her head. "No it's not actually anti-magic. It just says that. it is realy warm and comfortable though!"
Azog ehs, nods slowly. "Well. It is comfortable and warm," he agrees. "I thank you for this strange gift. I have nothing to give you in exchange, though."
Erendriel giggles, and steps right up to Azog, holding it up and out. "That's alright! I saw it and thought of you. I had to get it for you! I hope you like it! I don't know about you but the cold gets hard for me sometimes."
Azog will take the blanket in his arms and bow his head. "It's not bad right now," he explains as far as Alexandrian weather goes. "And the worst of it isn't as bad as it gets up in Dran. But it will be nice to have when the winter really hits here in a month or so. Thank you."
Erendriel hops and claps when he takes it. "You're welcome! I saw two blankets that were PERFECT for people. This was one of them." She leans in. "I got the other for another adventurer, Kaelyn. Don't tell."
Azog frowns, sighs. "The annoying artificer?" he asks. "I should be insulted to be thought of at the same time," he complains. "This city ... gah." He scowls and turns to walk away. "Humans," he grumbles.
Erendriel giggles and shakes her head. "Oh Azog, she's having a hard time... enjoy the blanket!" Not to be deterred even as he walks off.
Azog says, over his shoulder, "Well, she can probably use it in her current shape, yes? I'm surprised the other artificers don't censure her, though. They have no shame, parading their failures around the city as if they're proud of them. But the city is all about magic and wizards and children who can do no wrong. So I will be the villain here. So be it."
