Upon the island you're standiong on, the ground begins to burble and shift. A figure is rising up /out/ of the earth, made from it. It's like a miniature version of the statue itself, made from crystal-embedded stone.

Kore sails into the smaller crystla-stone statue, pounding on it with her fists and encountering some mild success, but it endures most of it quite well. That could be a problem.

Morgan nods as she says a few words in the arcane toung that gives Hun'rar spectrial wings for a few seconds. She then looks towards the crystals forming in to strange things "well this is tied in to a god of magic, that is using crystals. Sonic attacks might work or help it... fucking magic will do screw with you like that." She moves to the right a bit as a small rock fell from the sky "But I think we are in deep shit as this is a corrupted aspect of a god."

Hun'rar nods to Morgan and takes to the air of the Maelstrom, with his shield raised before him as he approaches the crystal. "Shard of a god... Animus..." he murmers to himself as he studies the crystal closer.

Sasha stays well back from the fight. "Guys...we have to weaken the SHARD itself. That's the only way the corruption's going to surface! This is all a VERY strong illusion, created by the shard, and the corruption is driving it. The shard itself is just Animus' power, and not sentient at all, so it's attacking everyone and everything. The Corruption is just helping it attack us. Save your spells, Morgan. We're going to need them when we get the corruption to come forth.
Constantin arrives, singing as he steps into the high grasses. Bluebirds sing.
Constantin has arrived.
Iskandar follows Kore in attacking the crystalline structure that rose on their 'raft' - and rose, conveniently, within range of their fists. He smashes his own fists against it, but to no avail. He can't so much as chip the material.

Those spears begin to fly out, now, from its wings. They flap and then fire with each gust of powerful. For whatever reason, however, its targets are Sasha and Serraphione, who are wounded by the great spears, able only to barely get out of the way from the lethal instruments, left with broad, grazing wounds. Blackness begins to spread from the spear-tips into the stone which it embeds of the ground, veining and spiderwebbing through it..

A pulsing light begins to form at the statue's hands as it brings them together. A swirling ball of light gathering, pulling together in a swirl of energy, pure and corrupt.

Constantin looks up, and swears a blue-streak. He looses a pair of arrows, one deflecting and one crashing head on into the statue. The arrow breaks on it.

The Cookie Monster, aka: Serraphine, looks one way, looks the other, then heads out at a brisk walk toward the nearest spear oozing black into the veins around them. "Ohhhh no. You get that black stuff out of here!" She points the tip of her blade at it, then brings her sword up in a two handed grip before dropping it down in a smooth arc that slices through it and shatters it into a cloud of darkness and bits of crystaline shards.

Iskandar punches the other spear stuck into the party's raft, the same one Kore has been pounding. Each successive blow causes more cracks to form until the last punch shatters the spear-like shaft.

The statue brings the blazing energy end down towrads Hun'rar, who is able to narrowly get out of the way in time. It leaves black tracers in the sky in its slow descent.

Constantin starts leaping towards the giant shard, hoppnig from island to island, carefully.

Serraphine turns and looks off toward the other spear - in time to see if destroyed by a companion - and so she's looking for what next. "Uuuugh! Why can't we just be done with this?!" She starts toward one of the statues, stalking off toward it as she brings the weapon up over head. She brings it down and... whiffs. Entirely missing it. She squints, "Stay still!"
