- Summary: Cryosanthia is at Wilderness Pointe, getting ready to go back to Mictlan, when Aryia arrives with a delivery. Morgan is getting herbs from the nearby shop, and Seyardu is also visiting. Cryo opens the package, it is her scrying bowl-mirror, and she's very interested in trying it out. If only, so that her scry experience doesn't involve only a bedpan. They head inside and set up, and Morgan repeats the ritual. Seyardu is looking for her brother, whom she barely has any memory of. She has faint memories, at best, and her scales. Hopefully this is enough of a connection. Morgan manages to find someone, who is shockingly near, only an hour distant. Somewhat surprised, they tell him to come to Wilderness Pointe before losing contact.

Wilderness Point is the last-ditch point of civilisation before the great northern woods. It stands as a last bastion of trade, and a hub of activity between hunters, traders, and townsfolk.
A fairly wide path, flanked on either side by shallow ditches and tall trees, makes its way into the village from the southern roads, whose borders are outlined by a low stone wall. Sections of the wall have fallen apart here and there. At this point, it's more of a decoration than anything else.
The largest building in the village is an inn, a sign hanging over its door reading 'Wayfarer's Inn'. Its stone chimney has a thin wisp of smoke drifting off into the sky overhead.
At the center of the town is the Hunter's Market, beyond which the town ends along the river's banks, with the ferry providing passage to the other side.

Wilderness Pointe
A stop on the way to Mictlan. In a sense, a transition point between softskin civilization and the people's way of doing things. At least, that's how it seems for a certain whitescaled sith'makar who has become too comfortable with cities and enclosed spaces.
She's a long way from the jungle, and even returning to a forest makes her hesitate. One night at the inn, to check in on some friends, wouldn't hurt. Cryo picks up a trunk, waves at the departing wagon and heads inside. Lily walks along beside her.
For the little pinkscale youngling, it's more like coming home. Even Mictlan is civilized and overbuilt. She's used to holes in the ground.
It has been some time since the mute had been to Wilderness Pointe. Really, she had been here only twice. The first when she first got here and skirted around Alexandria, lost from the docks. And the second to deliver a package.
Well, this third time was the same as the second.
A scarred mul'neissa woman in a verdant green buckle jacket, a grey cloak, and sunglasses arrives into the small outpost of civilization, a wrapped package on their back that is secured firmly to their frame. She was surprised that she managed to get this little job, her snapping it up briskly after figuring out who it was supposed to be delivered to. She asks around with a description written on a page, only just barely catch a white tail vanish into the building. She blinks, then whistles across the way, jogging to catch up.
Morgan comes out of the Herbal shop fixing the haversack at her side. She takes a moment to look around her she takes note of who is here not yet notcing any one she knows she lifts off the ground about 2 feet. "much better to many tall ones here."
Wilderness point, while the wild fringes for the city, was the closest civilization for Mictlan, with a matter of perspective. Things hard to find in the pointe were even more so for the makari settlement, so many did business there for things they needed, and it had become a prominent trading spot for many such things.
Seyardu had been spending more time in around Mictlan again, so it was not a surprise to see her there. She was in leathers more traditional to Am'shere, as it was not nearly as out of place as in the city, and they were quite happy this day while looking around at a few stalls.
A whistle catches her attention. Cryosanthia turns, "Aryia? Peace on your nest, and Morgan, hello, Seyardu as well." She greets the unexpected convocation of friends, and asks in general, "Were you going all the way to Mictlan?"
Aryia slows her jog as Cryo haltered her advance indoors. She wipes a bit of sweat off her brow and smiles, though she looks off to Seyardu, waves at her, then looks over at-
The elf wasn't that tall, only a smidge over four and a half feet, but she had to tilt her head back at the floating woman. Blink blink goes her glowing eyes behind the shades before she shakes her head and waves from the hip.
Snapping her fingers to get back on track, she flutters a hand at Cryo and unslings something on her back, a package wrapped tightly in cloth, about a foot and a half, two feetish in length, and holds it out to the whitescale.
Morgan floats her way to the Sith she knows well "hello there Cryosanthia." said while staying a few feet off the ground to talk to the tall ones with out killing her neck.
"Morgan!" The snow-sith says warmly, giving the floating elfin woman an embrace that is anything but, "It is good to see you again."
It's Aryia, or Aryia's package that gets the strongest reaction, "Oh! My Scrying bowl! Is that it? From Rhunon the smith?"
"Makesss good sandwisssshesss." Lily offers as comment, running around beneath Morgan.
Which draws a glance from Cryo before she continues, "This may be true, if it's anything like the sketch it will be amazing. Maybe we can try it out, for that scrying for Seyardu?"
Aryia hands over the package, her bobbing her head with a smile. Still it remains wrapped, even as she steps away and puts her hands in her pockets. Welp, job was done, might as well hang out. Her brows raise, and she gives a slow nod at the idea.
She looks up at the floating half-sil, her hands giving some motions. "Hello. My name is A-R-Y-I-A." A piece of paper is supplied with the same information written on it if the signs weren't understood. <Handspeech>
Morgan smiles greatly to the little one dancing a but she looks to the one that approaches her and says "Hello I am Morgan the local Lore master of the mages guild." She then looks back to Cyro 'What were you you both talking about Scrying?' <handspeech>
Seyardu waves back to Aryia, and she blinks when she sees Cryosanthia and lily, and a somewhat familiar half elf as well. She waves to them as well, before she makes her way over, smiling to the group. "Peace on your nests, Aryia, Cryosanthia, Lily, and, ah, Morgan, yes?" She greets, before her guess is confirmed, and the silver Makari nods. The mention of scrying raises her brow, and she focuses on the whitescale. "The scrying? Do you think that it can be done?" She asks, growing a touch hopeful.
"I think so. Come on inside, let's check it out." Cryosanthia says, waving invitingly with hand and tail as she tucks the package under her arm. The trunk is picked up and she moves inside the Inn.
A table is found, she sets things down and sets up, unwrapping the package.
It's a shallow bowl with a flat bottom that serves as a mirror. It's gorgeous, silver and surrounded by carvings. Cryosanthia's name, in elegant Sylvanori script, snowflakes and her arcane mark. Opposite her name is a white dragon, inlaid in ivory, chasing her tail around the frame.
"So, water. Morgan, does scrying work with white wine? Just curious."
Morgan gives a nod to Seyardu "Yes I am and I belive your name is Seyardu correct?" she says with a nice certainty to her voice as they are taken to a table to sit. When the bowl is taken out and every one can see it "Use water unless its a divine caster from a godd/es of wine."
Aryia slips in as well, her giving a relaxed sigh as Morgan understood what she said. The mention of being a mage is abated by Cryo' warmth towards her, and the mute slides into a chair, tilting her head to the side at the sight of the bowl. That looked way too fancy for a bedpan.
Seyardu joins the group in going inside quickly, and she pulls a stool with her to the table where the parcel is opened. She squints, trying to make out the engravings, which takes some time, before she nods. "It looks very well made, whoever made it did a good job. From what I have heard water is best, but I do not know for certain." She says, deferring to the seemingly much more experienced spellcaster, judging by all the floating. "So, this can, I do not know how it works with less known people."
The bowl is set on the table. Lily pokes her head over the edge and gazes at it. It's even more beautiful in her eyes
The mirror is a an ornate mirror that is lavished with Sildanyari design and flourish. It's oblong and oval in shape, taking up the width of Cryosanthia's forearm. Silver is used for the frame, a scattering of snowflakes floating trailing on one half of the mirror, with the other half having inlaid ivory, depicting the scales of an anatomically correct white dragon, chasing after it's long tail that lances through some of the flakes. If the mirror is tilted one way, a name in elvish script can be discerned in the engravings in the flakes of snow.
The reflective surface is a sheet of solid, transparent quartz, scattering light like a rainbow as it catches on it, only to barely show a ghost of an emblem in the center: a dragon's slitted eye with more script surrounding it. The mirror is faintly concave, giving a slightly enlarged reflection for those that peer at themselves in it.
Cryosanthia gazes adoringly at it, and gets some water. Filling it, she turns to Morgan and Seyardu, "So... did you want to try for your brother, Seyardu?"
Morgan sits back and waits to be called on for future help.
Aryia remembers vaguely how long it took last time due to conversations, her getting up to order a drink of a fruity wine, only to return some minutes later with some dried meats in hand. She picks one off the pile and offers it to Lily, knowing she'd get antsy during the waiting.
"Yes, we should get some food, as this will take some time, for certain." Seyardu sighs when she sees Aryia returning with food. Cryosanthia's question makes her blink and shift her attention back. "Y-yes, of course I would like to try and find them." She states firmly and quickly, turning to stare at the scrying basin. "I would like nothing more than to figure this out, no matter, ah, no matter what the result may be, I am not prepared, but this one needs to know for certain."
Morgan gives Seyardu a concerned look "It will take a hour to cast, but I will need to know more about the ones you want me to scry for. Paint me a picture of who they are and what they look like." she gets a bottle from her haversack and takes a drink. "But I do want you to know that you will see what I will."
Cryosanthia orders some food, which are fried bits of breaded meat with dipping sauces. There's also a plate of fruit, and for the whitescale, some bones. She nods, "It took me a long time, last time."
She seats herself, adjusting on the bench, and mostly gazes at the mirror, tracing the edges of it.
Aryia cracks open a book on Kulthian language, her glancing between the three women at the table, settling on Seyardu at the request for more information.
Seyardu sighs again, and she orders some water for herself, and a bit of fruit. the shakes her head after Morgan speaks, and a claw taps at the table as she seems worried and more than a bit scared.
"I do not know how much I can say, Morgan. I have precious few memories of my brother, and what memories I have of them are from around two decades ago, that long of a period of time, well, relatively speaking."
"And this one only has one distinct memory, the one Cryosanthia is aware of, the one I have told Aryia about. They look, well they look like me, I think. They have metallic scales, a light color, I think the same as mine. But they do not have the same problems with sight this one has, and they were much taller when I was young, perhaps twice as tall even."
The water coming by was welcome as she uses it for a momentary break before she continues. "They were very kind, and dependable, and they were always helpful and respectful to the elders, always helping them with tasks. This one remembers being envious of some of the work they were able to do, so this one was always looking for more ways to help, when possible."
The silver sith-makar sighs again. "But it is so little, I do not know if it is enough. I know they did exist though, even if I can not even remember their name."
GAME: Morgan casts Scrying. Caster Level: 14 DC: 23
Morgan gets a slate out with some chalk for Cryos little one to have fun with as this will be boring for most. She takes in all what was said "that is enough." Her voice hollows in sounds as she holds the side of the bowl, the arcane words flows as her eyes goes completely white. After a few minutes she stops the magic words "Ok it will take some time for the picture to come in but I need to keep looking at it, but you can talk to me normal."
Lily says, "thanssss," and takes the slate. She scratches away the entire time, making simple schematics for things, erasing them and starting over. She is completely occupied with this.
Cryo, similarily, is occupied with the designs on her scrying mirror, as well as Morgan's casting. The chanting and motions are very repetitive, the Mourner was right about that. Still, she notes any differences in the technique.
"I saw a memory of Seyardu's, but it wasn't clear, so I don't think I really saw her brother. This one would share it with you otherwise. Would one of her scales help?"
Aryia nods along as she remembers what she was told, her starting to read during the waiting. Every other piece of jerky is handed towards Lily as she nibbles on her own share and sips on her wine.
Using a scrying pool was not a brief endeavor, but it was necessary to spend the required time for a clear connection to be made. When Cryosanthia suggests a scale, she reaches to pull a loose one off of her arm, and offer it to the wizard, before she settles into an uncomfortable silence. They continue to stare at the silver bowl as the water shimmered in front of them. The fruit she ordered was untouched, at least by herself.
When the spell was near to finishing, the water turned a murky brown, until it was nearly completely opaque, only to clear a moment after, revealing an imagine in it's depths.
The view that comes into clarity after a long moment is one of hazy woods and forests. Nothing beyond a dozen feet or so is clear, the branch and bramble beyond covered by a the mystic mist of the limits of the magic. A light wind causes a rustling to be heard in the background, echoing into the pub.
There is a figure, large and bulky, sitting upon the ground with a large, scaled tail sprawled out behind them. The scales were large in some places, fighting to crowd around one spot, and practically missing in others, only to expose the rough hide underneath. A two toned cloak covers them completely, the lower half seemingly stitched on. It looked to be as if they were struggling with something in their hands, their frame blocking it. There's a low growl of a grunt, them a cracking of wood.
They toss the wood off to the side, it split down the middle four ways. It lands off to the side, clunking with other piles of wood. Firewood.
A pause passes through them before they reach for another log. Fingers curl into one another, extended talons clacking before the fist gently sets itself on the ground to steady themselves. A shudder wracks them. Their hood turns to the spent campfire next to them before they abruptly stand up, pull their hood down further, and speed walk off into woods. Lumbering, wide footsteps announcing their departure.

"I... don't recognize the area." Cryosanthia admits, having managed to stay awake through the whole cast this time, although she did end up hunched over the table and bowl halfway through. She sits up as the figure resolves and comes into view.
"Is that him? Did he tell we're watching. Shouldn't it be following?"
Lily looks up to watch what is going on.
Once the spell takes hold, Aryia blinks in surprise and she sets her book down. If it found something, then that meant...
After a memory of her own had been recovered, Aryia knew full well the importance of this. She scans the mirror for details, biting her lip in concentration as she tries to commit what she can see to memory.
Morgan eyes turn back to their pretty blueish green as the spell is complete. She takes a few minutes to study the trees and the season around them "oh Caspa Besta they are a insect common north of Alexandria forest give me some time and I can give you a better lead."
Seyardu was stuck to the table still, and the wood was splintering from claws crushing and piercing the edge of it. She too was wracking her brain for any sort of recognizable thing, but she could not figure out anything, and she growls, before the voices nearby drag her out of her thoughts. "This one, no, or, yes, I can not tell. They were silver, not, whatever color that is." She admits with a long, frustrated sigh. But then she sits up, and thumps her tail once. "They are alive though! My brother, I did not dare to hold out hope, but if that is truly them, then they still live!" She rumbles, staring again at the pool as it moves to follow the path, a slow, meandering path, with the cloaked makari stumbling a bit in their path. Seyardu quiets down, and she closes her eyes. "So many injuries, and they look pained in their movements. By the mother, what happened to them?"
Morgan says "we have about 12 more minutes left, if I can see more Seyardu I can teleport us to them if you wish." she makes a few hand movements to follow the ones she seen.
"They are injured, I don' t know the area, what could have hurt him." Cryosanthia says, staring at the image, then looking up at Morgan. Her tail thumps at the suggestion, her stomach tightens, "Teleport? I guess, we could?"
She glances at the silverscale, back at the image, "This one will assist, if you decide to go. You have a teleport to return us too, Morgan? How many can you take?"
Aryia gives a wide smile as Seyardu seems elated about the news, her reaching over to place a hand on their shoulder in support. It squeezes lightly. "Hey. He's alive, right? That's what matters." At the notion of teleporting, Aryia rubs her neck, then puts a hand on Lily. She'll stay to watch Lily, she conveys with no words. <Handspeech>

"Wait, that's close. That's nearby. The mictlan hunters and warrior-cast use that to pass through the forest. It's an hour south east from Mictlan." Cryo says, standing up abruptly. "This one is surprised she didn't recognize it earlier."
She looks at silverscale, "he's close, he's here."
Lily headbutts against Aryia's side.
Morgan says as all was asked as she keeps watching "I could teleport us all but we..." she stops some one else finishes her sentence. "Be calm and watch more so you know where for sure."
Aryia blinks. That's... really close. Though, a little kobold bonks her noggin against Aryia's flank. She looks down, gives her a silly look, then scoops her up to plop her in her lap.
Seyardu blinks as the talk shifts to going to see them, and them being so close. She lurches to her feet, something that tears more chunks out of the table, and makes the image wobble in the basin. She is alert, then looks down to the scrying pool, and sighs. "This one should go, they are injured by the looks of it, but-"
There is a scent of confusion from Seyardu as she shakes her head violently. "This one can not even remember their name, what they look like. How can this one show up out of nowhere like that? Expect things to be okay?"
"They are of the people, we should help, you should help. If it was a stranger you would still give aid." Cryo says, "the other aspects of this we can explain after. Also, we should know what is so close to Mictlan and causing injuries, that should also be addressed."
Aryia nods in agreement, her rapidly bouncing her knee to jostle Lily as fast as monk-ly possible.
Morgan keeps looking as to get the most of the spell "calm your heart you were young and you are letting panic set in, relax and the names will come to you."
Lily makes a thruming noise, which when combined with bouncing sounds like reciprocal bees. A cyclical kind of noise that peaks and valleys.
Seyardu sighs, sits back down, staring at the scrying pool. "It is not some matter of being young, I do not remember him.I do not remember most of my childhood. Perhaps it was shock, yet it seems unlikely." She states, looking at the door. "You are right, we should go and help them at the very least. Cryosanthia, can you talk to them like you did Braelnoir? Let them know so they aren't terrified of people appearing near them?"

Cryosanthia loops her left hand through an elegant motion, her scales sparkle and a cascade of light spreads from her chest out along her arm. Her fingers glow, and she makes a small horn shape with her hand, points at all present. She leaves Lily out of it, then finalizes the spell by pointing at the figure in the bowl.
She hisses, carefully pronouncing the words, "Do not be alarmed, this one is Cryosanthia, Speaker-Caste. This one can hear your words. This one can come to your location with others, to provie aid." <draconic>
Morgan says "we have about 3 minutes left with the scrying." said as it fades just a little.
The figure pauses at a tree, resting, but attentive as they hear the voice. A voice that comes through is deeeep, felt more than heard. It's also tired, and weary. He replies in dragon tongue. "Huh...? Who is... oh. No this one is fine, erm, they are just... hungry. They are getting help do-" A long pause. "Cryosanthia? You said? This one knows of you. This one prayed your nest is well."
Seyardu blinks, and seems even more lost. Their mouth opens several times, and closes without saying anything, as they struggle to even think of what to say. <Draconic>
Aryia blinks as well, stopping the knee bouncing. She didn't catch anything of what was said, but Seyardu's expression held all she needed to know.
Morgan asks "do they wish our help?"
Cryosanthia is also momentarily unsure of what to say, both surprised that he knows her or knows of her, and that she doesn't recognize him. "Oh, ah, thank you. This one hopes for a good nest as well. I am preparing... it's coming along, yes." <draconic>
The whitescale tugs at the bottom of her corset, ensuring it is snug and supportive.
"We... ah... have food, come by the Wilderness Pointe Inn? Um..." <draconic>
She shakes her head at Morgan's question, "He doesn't seem to, he knows me. I'm really confused."
Morgan says "Cyrosanthia I have herd some of your exploites, you have done some great things."
He shifts uncomfortably at the suggestion. "That is good. They were worried when they heard the news. Uhm. Wilderness Pointe? Um... perhaps... later. This one needs shamans for their hunger. This one is sorry to pass the opportunity to meet you." A sigh, and he resumes walking, a bit faster now.
Seyardu looks at Morgan curiously, and she shakes her head. Finally she manages to make some manner of words come out of her mouth, and through the scrying focus. "This one would like to meet you and speak with you, when you have the chance. If you are, alright, then this is already enough of a good thing." She says, seeming unsure, terrified and ecstatic at the same time. <draconic>
Morgan watches the last of the spell finish "Any time, if I am not at the guild I am at my house. Cyrosanthia or Braelnoir can tell you where I live, I do like having guests." <draconic>
Aryia is looking back and forth, confused by the dragon speak. Everything was going... fine? Hopefully? Seyardu looked like she was about to break into joy or break down. Or both.
The whitescale brightens a little at Morgan's compliment, there's a certain sparkle along her patterns, She looks up from the bowl, smiles. It is enough of a delay she misses her chance to reply.
And the stranger, or stranger-who-is-known, his response is not heard.
"All gonesss." Lily summarizes, catching what she can between bounces, and grabbing another breaded meat tender and getting the sauce on Aryia's lap.
"Apologies Aryia, he... knows me, and we left the talking too long. Some things he said were a concern." She adds
Now that got the figure to pause. "... Shaman Seyardu? Is that you? Th-"
The last of the image that was already wavering blinks out, leaving only a dark brown liquid in the scrying pool. Seyardu continues to stare at it for some time.
"Do I know them? This one means, of course I know them, but-" The silver sith-makar gives another frustrated growl, and headbutts the edge of the table. There is a moment where they sigh with their head stuck to it.
... Actually stuck, as they spend some time pulling their horns free from it. She would likely need to pay for repairs later.
