Aftershock is an admin on Tenebrae, below is the relevent information on their style of DMing and their expectations as such. As an admin, I encourage any and all players to share with me any questions/comments/concerns which arise either from this information or in general. If you have an interest in any of my plots you are further encouraged to page me (AF is my nickname) to find out how you can get your character involved or if you have an idea of something you would like to do in the plot. My plots are very player driven so if there is something you want to do; just ask!

Scene and Plot Characteristics

Scene Timing Evenings and weekends US Pacific. Occassional daytime events may occur.

Scene Size 3-6 players preferred.

Plot Length I run mostly individual single-night events that play into a larger plot. Occassionally an event will require more than one evening to accomidate everthing that needs doing. Events intended to be longer-running will usually be marked as such.

Combat Content Combats may include various kinds of content. Most events contain at least one encounter (rarely more), and usually include skill checks, occassionally puzzles and/or traps, Not all events are combat-centered, and I run many Meetups as well as combat encounters (though those are usually noted as such).

Death Consent All of my events are DC by default.

Scene Content Personal Plots I love getting players involved! If there's a thing that you're looking to do - be it involving your character in an existing plot using a backstory device or having a plot wrap around your character, feel free to drop me a line and we'll see if we can't work something out!

Plot Style My plots tend to be either a few small and seemingly inconsequential items or a gathering of many small threads to make up a larger picture. These plots are often very player involved where each action and choice matters to the greater whole. At times the themes or individual events may contain heavy and/or dark elements. I do try to give fair warning in the event that things may be upsetting to some players.

Preferences and Policies Pose Order Outside of combat, each player may pose once before I have posed again. Order is not important. In combat, pose according to initiative order.

Late Arrivals It is my habit to begin gathering players for an event an hour early; this is to accomidate any questions/comments/concerns as well as any purchases that are requested.

Events start promptly at the time that they are schedualed. Anyone signed up for the event but whom has not shown up or given advance warning of lateness will be replaced by a stand-in. Lateness of any variation may mean that the event starts without the player in question irregardless.

AFK A player who is AFK on their init during combat and whom is unresponsive for five or more minutes will be skipped. They will be allowed to take their turn if they return at some point later in the init but if the round progresses back to their turn without a sign of them, they will lose their turn. Prolonged absence or the missing of more than one init round will result in being unrewarded for the event. This is similarly true of prolonged AFK during non-init rounds. It is important to be active during the whole of the event; not just combat, and not just the rp portions.

If a player needs to leave early (due to a need for sleep or otherwise), can inform me of such and the event may be shortened or moved to accomidate; alternitively I may offer that they leave and still recieve rewards if the event is nearly wrapped.

Re-Roll Policy Re-rolls may be used for any one roll, but must be requested before I announce the result of the roll. The reroll may not be subsequently rerolled again IE: the result of the second dice roll stands for better or worse. Free rerolls may be offered before the event at my discression.
